Precisely counting
the number of angels
dancing on the head

of a speeding quark,
physicists discovered
the Higgs boson,

the God Particle,
that had no sermons
to preach to us,

no commandments
for us to obey,
with nothing

to tell us about
the nature of life
as we know it.
